Hi. How are you?

Founded in 2025, Monument City is a husband and wife team with a logo, a company name, and the potential to grow.* Part Bohemian, part detail-obsessed, we’ve been designing courses, inventing workshops, editing, educating, writing, and performing (in English, Spanish, and sometimes Portuguese) throughout the Americas since the early 2000s. In this project, we bring our commitment to creating high quality content along with our pedagogical convictions — learning is fun, unexpected, artistic, socially responsible, and adapted to YOU — to Rosario.

A closer look at what we do.
Advanced English Courses
We believe immersion is the best path to linguistic competence, and contemporary research on language acquisition agrees with us. Also, we understand language learning to be an art, rather than a science. Therefore, we utilize experiential, multisensorial (embodied), play-centric educational practices designed and/or refined by us with our clients in mind.
Further, we have set ourselves apart in Rosario for our focus on phonetics. We help students to understand how exactly one uses the vocal tract, larynx, lips, tongue, and teeth to produce English and Spanish phonemes (units of sound). We then use exercises such as recitation of word pairings to highlight, for example, the linguistic habits of English speakers whose mother tongues are Spanish. To be clear, we are not anti-accent. We want to give you the knowledge and therefore power to choose when and how to code-shift among the many varieties of English and Spanish that get used in the world. (See Gloria Anzaldua’s “How to Tame a Wild Tongue” if our politics here confuse you. Or reach out to us, and we can talk over coffee or mates.)
Choose to focus on conversation, reading and writing, professional development, alternative practices, or all of these. Whatever you choose, this is not your typical language course. For the time being, we only work with adults. (60.000 ARS or 40 USD/hour)
“Tea and Teaching” (English for English Teachers)
These are group sessions that meet the second Saturday of each month for 1.5 hours in Rosario’s Centro. Each session is capped at 10 participants and answers the questions “What else can I teach?” and “How else can I teach?” with space for reflecting, sharing, and discussing at the end. As with our general advanced courses, we emphasize immersion, creativity, and experiential learning, so come prepared to play. We’ve also been known to talk about education as activism and social responsibility; we would love to know what/who inspires you. DM to reserve your place. (6,000 ARS/session; tea and toast provided)
Editing & Ghostwriting (Textual)
From blog-length to book-length, we can get your written work from idea to proposal to publication — whether you are writing for Internet audiences, your clients, your colleagues and coworkers, or the shelves of your neighborhood bookstore. Briefly describe your project and your timeline below and we can send you a quote.
Editing & Production (Audio-Visual)
Need high quality video content? We work with you from initial planning to final polished product, or we can step in at any stage in the process. From artsy and experimental to corporate, and from social media content to rock music video to full length film or series. And while we’ve done fiction, we specialize in documentary work and ethnographic film. See Bird on a Wire productions for reels and additional details.
Collaborations & Community Outreach
Along with @club_de_jazz_rosario, we are piloting a listening room + lecture & discussion club now (think Parisian salons, but with pot lucks / “a la canasta” replacing aristocratic hosts, and in Spanish with touches of English). And we are proposing author talks, writing workshops, and “books for babies” all over the city. We will be in touch here and on Instagram as projects continue to take shape.
What OUR clients aND COLLEAGUES say
“An outstanding English instructor”
Dawn’s classes were not only an opportunity to improve my English skills, but a space in my day for fun and reflection. Dawn adapts her classes to fit her students — we spent hours discussing topics related to business, especially business start-up and psychology (my professions), challenging each other to ask new questions in an immersive co-learning dynamic that soon led to an ongoing friendship…

“A committed and efficient editor”
Dawn is by far the best manuscript editor I have ever worked with. She has a macro vision for narrative structure. She works alongside authors to find their voice and make text as accessible as possible without compromising academic integrity. Dawn also has a micro vision as she magnificently edits and tightens for logic, coherence, and accuracy…

“Un profesional sumamente responsible con una creatividad enorme”
Tuve la oportunidad de trabajar con Nico en la filmación y producción de mi video musical, y realmente fue una experiencia excelente. Es un profesional sumamente responsable, con una creatividad enorme y un caudal de ideas frescas que enriquecen cada etapa del proyecto. Además de su talento, destaco su calidad humana: trabajar con él no solo es productivo, sino también muy ameno. Sin dudas recomiendo a Nico para cualquier proyecto audiovisual.
